The judging process is conducted anonymously, ensuring that the products are evaluated solely on their taste, flavour, texture, and overall quality without any bias or preconceptions. The products are rated on a scale of one to three stars, with three stars being the highest accolade, signifying exceptional taste and quality. Earning even a single star in the Great Taste Awards is considered a significant achievement, while three stars are reserved for the very best products that have truly impressed the judges.
