Our new location is on Adenmore Road by Catford Bridge train station.

What are the opening hours?

Catford Food Market runs from 10am to 4pm on the last Sunday of every month. 

How do I get there?

We advise coming to Catford Food Market by foot or public transport. Buses including numbers 47, 54, 75, 124, 136, 160, 171, 181, 185, 199, 202, 208, 284, 320 and 336 stop nearby.

We are also situated in between Catford and Catford Bridge train stations.

If you are driving, there is limited free parking at Canadian Avenue and Thomas Lane car parks. Both car parks have five disabled bays available each.

Are there bike racks at Catford Market?

Yes, there are numerous bike racks at the market. 

Is it accessible?

Accessibility was one of the determining factors in moving the market to our new, riverside location on Adenmore Road. The road is fully paved and has many dropped curbs so it is accessible for wheelchairs, buggies and shopping trolleys.

Does Catford Food Market have public toilets?

There are no toilets at the market but facilities are available at the Catford Bridge Tavern, which is less than a minute away. 

Is it smoke free?

Yes, Catford Food Market operates a smoke free policy in all areas, including the seating areas.

What kind of food and drink can I find at Catford Food Market?

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome at the Catford Food Market as long as they are on leads at all times. Please bag any mess they make and either use the bins provided or take it home.

What do I do if I lose something during my visit? 

Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to monitor and store lost property, so can’t be held liable for anything lost during the market. If you lose something during your visit, we recommend that you report it to a steward, and on the Metropolitan Police lost and found online tool. 

Can I use my debit card?

Most of our traders take card payments but for those that don’t there are ATMs at Sainburys opposite the market and on Rushey Green.

I love street food but can I sit down and eat?

Yes, seating is provided at the market.

What should I do if I have an allergy or intolerance?

There are lots of options at Catford Food Market, so we can cater for most people. Our traders can provide full allergen and dietary information on request, so speak to them directly before ordering.Please note that Catford Food Market is NOT nut free.

Please also be aware that the Catford Food Market is not a wholly vegan market and some traders sell vegan and vegetarian items alongside meat based products.

Who runs Catford Food Market?

Catford Food Market is run by specialists in events management, community engagement, urban regeneration, social media, town centre management and place-making. They all live in the borough, mostly Catford itself, and are leading major community engagement on behalf of Lewisham Council.

The market is currently at full capacity, but we are always happy to receive applications from traders, should a pitch become available. Please email hello@catfordfoodmarket.com To trade at the market you must have public liability insurance, a food hygiene certificate, a recent risk assessment (HACCP) relating to food safety practice, and have registered with your local authority.

 

Is there a membership fee to trade at Catford Food Market?

Unlike other markets, we do not charge a membership fee to be able to trade with us. For each market you trade at you will be required to pay a pitch fee, but no membership fee.
